This series was designed with myself in mind. Watching "In Our Mother's Garden" on Netflix, that jewelry could be used as armor. I also realized that when I was younger I would dress for my own war everyday. I would wear hoodies to feel like I was in a hug so the outside world wouldn't seem so scary. I would wear certain purses and bags that were easy to use as weapons and can be covered by myself so no one could steal from me when I was on public transportation. So this series was designed with my younger self in mind.
Carapace is the hard upper shell of a turtle. The turtle shell is apart of the shell as much as it protects the turtle. That is where the name come from.
